Peter Gomez is a nationally-renown guard instructor and visual designer based in Southern California. A former member of both the Santa Clara Vanguard and the Blue Devils, Peter has gone on to lead many guard programs - both fall band and indoor - to championship levels. His work includes teaching and designing for Chino HS, Vista Murrieta HS, Glen A Wilson HS, Upland HS and Nogales HS, just to name a few of his recent successful ensembles. He has also been a designer and caption head for the Academy and Pacific Crest drum and bugle corps and currently serves as program designer for the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets. Peter was inducted into the WGASC Hall of Fame in 2011 and is the founder and CEO of ColorguardUSA.

Carol Abohatab received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin and her Master of Fine Arts degree from Mills College in Oakland, CA, both in Dance Performance and Choreography. Having trained extensively in New York City with Murray Louis and the late Alwin Nikolais, she has danced in their repertory as well as in works by Joe Goode and Janice Garrett. Her work has been performed in nation-wide. Carol has taught dance at UW-Madison, Madison Area Technical College, San Jose City College, in New York City at the Educational Alliance, and has taught and choreographed for hundreds of youths in the Color Guard and Drum & Bugle Corps activity nationwide. Some of these groups include State Street Review, Spirit of Atlanta, the Glassmen, Emerald Marquis Colorguard, Walton HS from Atlanta, Miamisburg HS, Mission Viejo HS, and the Santa Clara Vanguard.

Some equipment will be provided but we recommend that students bring equipment that they are comfortable with. Dress appropriately for movement and a variety of weather as is typical on Colorado’s western slope. Most of the camp events will be held outdoors. Be sure to bring or fax this medical release form [download pdf].
